Use the hosted console¶
Follow this path if your organization uses Vex Raptor as a hosted service (for example
app.vexraptor.com). For Docker on your own servers, use Quickstart
instead.
Before you start¶
- An account created by your organization admin (there is no public self-registration on production).
- Written authorization to test the targets you will scan.
- See Plans & features for what your plan includes.
Pick a role-based checklist if helpful: Pentester · Org admin · MSSP.
Step by step¶

Open your instance URL (e.g.
https://app.vexraptor.com) and sign in. -
Land on Dashboard — confirm you see the sidebar (Home, Test, Protect, Prove, Administration). If menus are missing, your plan or role may hide them; ask an admin.

For external production targets, complete domain ownership verification before the first pentest.

Run your first engagement: First scan or Run scans.

Admins: open Organization for users and API keys, Integrations for outbound tools — Organizations & API keys.
What you will see¶
- Live scan streaming on Pentest
- Findings and PDF export under Reports
- Plan-gated modules only if your subscription includes them
Common problems¶
| Issue | What to do |

| 401 on login | Ask admin to reset password or use SSO if configured |
| 403 on scan | Domain not verified, plan limit, or missing license on self-hosted |
| Missing menu item | Check Plans & features; beta items need operator flags |
