Swarm orchestrator

What it is and why use it

Swarm coordinates multiple scan workers against related targets for large engagements. It appears only when your instance enables advanced navigation (beta/legacy nav flag).

Before you start

• Plan: Enterprise.
• Admin or member per org policy.
• Advanced navigation enabled on the frontend build (VITE_BETA_NAV).

Step by step

1. Confirm Swarm appears in the sidebar; if not, contact your administrator.

2. Open Swarm (/swarm).

1. Define targets and start a swarm scan via the UI (API: POST /api/v1/swarm/scan).

1. Monitor aggregate progress and per-target status.

2. Open individual results in Reports when complete.

What you will see

A parent swarm job with child scan statuses and combined impact summary endpoints (GET /api/v1/swarm/scan/{id}).

Common problems

• Redirect to Dashboard — beta nav disabled or plan insufficient.
• Policy block — targets must pass the same SSRF and org target policy as pentests.
